Lectures at the Colloquium on the History of Egypt and Syria in the Fatimid, Ayyubid and Mamluk Eras
The Colloquium on the History of Egypt and Syria in the Fatimid, Ayyubid and Mamluk Eras (10th-15th centuries) was annually held in Leuven or Ghent, Belgium. More recently it got the acronym CHESFAME. Initially the Colloquium was organized by prof. Urbain Vermeulen, later together with prof. Jo Van Steenbergen, and finally by Van Steenbergen alone.During 2004-2013 I spoke eight times in this Colloquium. I reworked all my lectures there into publications for the Proceedings of the Colloquium. These Proceedings appeared in the series Orientalia Lovaniensia Analecta, Peeters, Leuven.
